It's Been Too Long

So...I guess it's safe to say that my "New Year's Resolution" to be better at blogging has definitely FAILED. Oh, well...what can I say? I'm just not cut out for it. I will just accept that I will blog as often as I can. There are so many things to update. Our life is absolutely crazy this month. We have 2 baby showers, our childbirth class, our meeting with the pediatirician, and a mini vacation all in June. It is all fun! I can't wait!

We got the nursery done (well mostly). I will try to post pictures soon. I still have to upload them from my camera to the computer. We still have to get the crib mattress and the changing table and get the blind and curtain put up. It is so cute! I can't even tell you.

Also, baby now has a name...Kyle James Harmon.

Anyway, other than that...things are going great...I am feeling good so far (despite the swollen ankles and feet and being a little tired). The doctor says everything is going great! I have been so blessed as to not have any complications at all. I am now 32 weeks and going to the doctor every 2 weeks. At 36 weeks, I will start going every week. It's so hard to believe that we only have about 8 weeks left. It has gone by so fast. My main goal for the next 8 weeks is to try and stay cool as the HOT, HUMID Oklahoma summer is upon us.

Baby Boy

Here are the most recent pictures of our sweet baby BOY! That' right, it's a boy! And we are excited about it...in fact, one of us says he knew all along (and he's been saying all along) that it was a boy. Guess he's just got that intuition (personally, I think it was just wishful thinking, but don't tell him that). We are at 20 weeks now...half way through...I can't believe it, time has gone by so fast. Now, I just can't wait to see him and see who he looks like and find out who his personality is like. We know from the ultrasound yesterday that he has stubborn streak. He was not being very cooperative with the tech doing the ultrasound. He was hiding and running from her. I don't want to admit it but I think he might get that stubborness from my side...oh, wait did I say that out loud? Don't tell Jim! I'll deny it!
Until next time...

2009 Winter Storm

Well, we are finally back in civilization after 2 days cooped up in the house. I don't think I have ever been so glad to come to work. It was a nice little break but have you ever noticed that the only time you really ever WANT to do something is when you CAN'T do it? Yep, it's true...I have stayed home before for 2 days I am sure but it was usually out of choice (or sickness), but if leaving is suddenly NOT an option, it's a whole different story. Anyway, we survived. Thought I'd share some pictures of the snow (or really sleet). We got the most in the whole state...4.5"

Meet Baby Harmon

This is the very first photo of our precious baby so I thought I would share it with you all. There will be many more to come I am sure!

And Baby Makes Three...

We are so very excited to announce that we are expecting our first baby in August! What a fun Christmas we had getting to make that announcement to all of our family! We are all so looking forward to the great things God has in store for us in 2009. We are praying for a healthy pregnancy and baby! My New Year's Resolution (so to speak) is to update my blog more frequently! Hopefully, I will be able to keep that resolution.

Why am I so terrible at this blogging thing? I don't really know the answer to that but I know it's definitely true! I can't believe it's been 3 months since my last entry...that's horrible...you would think I didn't have anything to talk about or something.

Anyway, here's a quick update of what we've been up to since my last post. We have made a couple of trips to visit with family and are getting ready to make another one. We went to Dallas the weekend before Thanksgiving to see my family...they all spent Thanksgiving in Dallas so that was fun. Then we went to Denver to spend Thanksgiving with Jim's family. It was cold!!! We had a great time though. It was nice to get to visit and catch up.

We are leaving on Saturday to go to New Mexico for Christmas. We will get to spend a whole week hanging out and Jim will get to do some skiing (which he is very excited about). This will be a special trip for both of us since neither of us has seen where the other grew up. I am so excited!!! Plus, it's always nice to go "home" and let mom love on you and take care of you!

I think my New Year's resolution will be to get better at this blog thing. Maybe it will happen, maybe not...we will just have to wait and see.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
